The OPEN INNOVATION service lets you present an innovation project and talk with experts from leading cosmetics industry companies.
These large companies have an open innovation policy and are eager to work collectively by making their expertise available to people and businesses with innovative projects.
You can present your innovations at any stage of maturity, whether you’re an individual with an innovative idea, a start-up, small business or research laboratory. The discussions will help you assess the value of your idea, find out what the companies are looking for, set up a collaboration, work on a concrete application, grow your business, and more.
The innovations can span the entire cosmetic value chain, including raw materials, other materials, finished products, industrialization, measurements, testing, packaging, logistics, retailing, etc.
They can address key concerns of the beauty industry, such as natural and/or locally sourced ingredients (greentech, biotech, circular economy, up-cycling); safety (toxicological and microbiological safety, quality, traceability); product performance (molecular, biological, physiological characterization); understanding consumers and offering solutions that meet their expectations (personalization, connected beauty, devices) and developing the sensory appeal, convenience and wellness benefits (haptics, neuroscience) provided by cosmetics.
Since 2015, more than 1000 projects have been submitted from 35 different countries, and more than 550 meetings have been organised.

You will be asked to provide a 30-minute presentation of your project in the private and confidential room ( (possibility of virtual appointments in case of travel restrictions), for the major companies from whom you received an invitation.
