Webinar: Formulating with Macro Oceans

Canadian Cosmetic Cluster is excited to invite you to their first formulating webinar with Macro Oceans!

2 main subjects for this edition: the world of marine ingredients and how to start formulating with them.

This webinar will explore the rich history of formulating with marine resources (such as kelps, like sugar kelp), showcasing some of the industry's leading brands, such as La Mer, to draw inspiration from.

Throughout the session, we’ll discuss the wide variety of marine ingredients available today, highlighting their role in different product categories.

Whether you’re interested in skincare, hair care, body care, makeup, or fragrance, this webinar will provide valuable insights into how marine ingredients can elevate formulations across the entire cosmetic spectrum.

We’ll focus on why incorporating marine ingredients is not only good for the environment but also highly economical for formulators. Marine ingredients are multifunctional, offering exceptional benefits like high antioxidant content, hydration properties, UV blocking potential, and antibacterial properties. This makes them highly valuable for a variety of applications, including sun care as potential UV boosters and natural preservers. In addition, we’ll explore the scientific research behind marine ingredients, current findings, and areas where further studies are needed.

This session will provide you with practical information on how to navigate the formulation process, integrate marine ingredients, and even pursue claims validation for marketing purposes. It’s an excellent opportunity to understand the cutting-edge advancements in the blue economy and how your brand can benefit from these sustainable, multifunctional ingredients.

Webinar: Introduction to the Blue Economy

The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster invites you to an insightful webinar exploring the blue economy within the cosmetic industry!

  • how bioplastics, made from marine resources, are reshaping sustainable packaging options, further minimizing the environmental impact of the cosmetic industry
