Canadian Cosmetic Cluster is partnering with Walle & Associates
The past year has been a challenging time for many companies around the world. The cancellation of tradeshows, international conferences and travel has resulted in companies looking for new opportunities to reach their target audiences. Addressing this growing need, we are launching an International Development Program to facilitate the export of cosmetic raw materials and cosmetics products to Canada. Created by recognized industry experts, the first round of companies eligible for this program come from France. As French businesses are confronted with the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Clusters are a direct way to connect to potential markets around the globe. The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster is on the Board of the Global Cosmetic Cluster which is chaired by Cosmetic Valley, its acting president. For this event, the Canadian Cosmetic Cluster is partnering with Walle & Associates, specializing in International development of companies in Canada with an expertise in the cosmetics Industry.
Canada is a dynamic and diversified Cosmetics Market. It presents an opportunity for SMEs from France to gain a gateway to both Canada, and to the American market. The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster would like to build upon the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The trade deal removes tariffs on nearly all goods and services between Canada and Europe and has led to a 15 percent rise in EU exports to Canada. France was Canada’s ninth global partner in 2019, French exports to Canada were $8.7 billion CAN (Source Government of Canada), including cosmetics. Anti-aging products, along with innovative and sustainable product design are contributing to the 2019-2022 market growth in Canada. The online retail channels are also a major factor in influencing sales of cosmetics in Canada.
The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster in partnership with Walle & Associates will lead a group of French businesses on a virtual trade mission to Canada. Conducted via a web-based conference, the event will offer two separate programs, one for companies specializing in furnishing raw materials (Monday March 8 and Tuesday 9, 2021) and one for companies selling finished products (Wednesday March 10 and Thursday 11, 2021) – to explore business opportunities in the Canadian Cosmetics Market.
The objective of this event is to provide support in the following areas:
• Information on the Canadian Market, Trends, and Consumers
• How Cosmetics Products and Raw Materials Distribution Works in Canada
• Route to Market
• How to Navigate Canadian Regulatory Guidelines and Procedures – including Canadian Labelling Requirements (bilingual French – English)
• How to Connect to Potential Consumers and Social Media Navigation
• Canadian Investment Strategies and Opportunities for French companies
• One-On-One Individual Virtual Meeting Consultation Session with Next Step Insights from Our Experts.

2021 is the right moment to become export ready for Canada and do business in 2022.
